Characterized by its generous packaging capacity, the recombinant lentivirus ensures robust and enduring trans gene expression. Its ability to integrate into the host genome facilitates long-term gene expression. Additionally, the lentivirus efficiently transduce a wide variety of mammalian cell lines, including primary and stem cells, even those traditionally challenging to transfect.
Lentivirus packaging service details:
- For our work, we employed the VSV-G pseudotyped second-generation lentivirus.
- Lentivirus particles purified using sucrose garden ultracentrifugation
- To determine viral titers, we utilized the Lenny-X GoStix Plus instant titration system (for crude lysate) and p24 ELISA-based protocol (for ultra-purified large scale packaging).
Scale | Application | Titer and volume | Price | Turnaround* |

Shipping and storage
Lentivirus is stored in HBSS buffer. The shipments packed with dry ice to maintain stability. Upon, receipt, it is advisable to store the lentivirus at -80oC fro long-term storage, ensuring its stability for at least one year. For short-term storage, such as 1-2 weeks, -20oC is suitable. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Safety
Lentivirus is categorized under biosafety level 2 (BSL-2).
